It is noted that the third party recovery process is long and may take up to three years with no guarantee of success in recovery in which case BCR is not liable for any refund; 5. In the event that the repair time of the vehicle exceeds a 14 fourteen business day period after the date of the damage to the vehicle, then and in that event, we shall be entitled to charge you the standard daily rental charge as advertised by us from time to time, from the expiry of the 14 fourteen day period referred to hereinbefore up and until the vehicle is repaired and returned to us, this being our liquidated damages for down time of the said vehicle; 5.
Take note that any warning light which may appear on the instrument panel of the vehicle must immediately be adhered to and the vehicle must immediately stop being driven. In the event of the vehicle being damaged, BCR in its sole discretion shall nominate a panel beater of its choice to carry out the necessary repairs. Furthermore if the vehicle is stolen or damaged to the extent that it cannot be economically repaired and is declared by BCR or its appointed assessor to be a write-off, then the Renter shall pay the amount as determined by BCR in its sole discretion.
