Any foreign national who has visited high-risk countries in the past 20 days will be denied a visa. South African citizens returning from high-risk countries will be subjected to testing and self-isolation or quarantine on return to South Africa. Travellers from medium-risk countries — such as Portugal, Hong Kong and Singapore — will be required to undergo high intensity screening.
All travellers who have entered South Africa from high-risk countries since mid-February will be required to present themselves for testing. We will strengthen surveillance, screening and testing measures at OR Tambo, Cape Town and King Shaka International Airports South Africa has 72 ports of entry in the country which are land, sea and air ports.

Featuring a terrace, Lothian House offers luxurios villa accommodation on the banks of the Palmiet River in Grabouw. Set in Elgin, 2. Just loved this place, would most certainly go back. Stunning views, great location, beautiful big rooms with plenty space. Needed to freeze some water and was given access to kitchen to also warm up supper purchased at Peregrine farm stall just a few meters away.

An error has occurred. We've sent you an email so you can complete your subscription. I went to a wedding at old Macdaddys and loved it. Had a braai at Southhill Wine Estate, wine tasting at Almenkirk and a picnic at Elgin Vitners which was very pleasant.
Cherry Glamping
The roads to Southhill are not very nice if one does not have a 4x4. Grabouw itself was not that great.
The litter created by the people on the streets has a negative effect to visit the town. It is not too big and it has the potential to be quaint little town. But the scenery around Grabouw was great. Lots of hiking places and mountain bike trials. Visiting the wine farms provides excellent lunch breaks. In the center of the Elgin Winelands.
Coronavirus (CoVID-19)
Beautiful views and scenery. Some of the best wine in the Western Cape. Only a 90km drive from the city, but feels like you could be in another part of the world. The Zip Lining was fabulous and we had a fantastic horse ride into the orchards at Long Shadow Farm - would really highly recommend both. The wine tasting also fantastic. If you are a hiker there is lots to do in this area and also fabulous mountain bike trails for the cyclists.
