My husband and I have plan a trip to South Africa in a few months. We were really looking forward to our upcoming vacation Johannesburg , Cape Town and a safari in the North West Province.
We were recently told that we might have some issues or feel uncomfortable because we are an interracial couple black female, white male. I am looking for feedback from those who have travel to South Africa in the last year or so. Thank you so much for your help.

Like in the US there is a certain type of bar where there might be a few raised eyebrows and behind the hand comments - we have "rednecks" here too. But nothing open. The kids fit in better than any of us, as here in the Cape the majority population is "coloured" people of mixed race rather than black or white!
