So much to choose from, only one choice
Hundreds of road infra-structure programmes complete or on-time. Dozens of brand new hotels open throughout the country. Now even virtually all tickets sold. Despite what the foreign media "wants" to happen! Why then, when it is published that there will be buses available, organised locally, do you not believe it? Why do you need a minute by minute timetable available two months before you arrive? Buses will fit with the final schedule o9f flights and matches and the final numbers of people arriving - believe!
I am certainly not having a swipe at your country but the organisers. It may be true that hotels and stadia have gone up on time, but I'm afraid Jo Public hasn't got a sniff at those hotels. I did a great deal of research and managed to get a guesthouse much more reasonably priced, but still 3 x its usual rate.
Anyway, I appreciate people taking time to post info, it is just frustrating, as I feel that I and many others travelling from abroad have been taken for a ride a bit.
As I said before why did everybody have to rush! So if you didn't have to be first in the queue and waited to book, as a few of us on here recommended, then the coffee would have smelt much better! By the way - talking about being "fleeced". Some people everywhere will try and take advantage of an event or a date. Although Christmas happens every year and the World Cup once in a lifetime. Like you I didn't book with them and found much better value elsewhere!
