Lawn Tennis was played at the Standard Courts from and by , two clubs played competitive tennis in Worcester. Matches took place at Church-, Market and Queen Squares. Players were organised into three local teams, Rangers, Worcester and United and played their matches on Saturdays. Barry Fairy Heatlie was born at Glen Heatlie in the district of Worcester, on 25 April , one of nine brothers who were all good athletes and sportsmen.
