I would not hesitate to stay here again. We just got back from the Arabian Courtyard, we travelled with a family of 7, including grandparents and young children aged 2 and 4. The location is excellent, in the old part of dubai, which is what my family wanted, great for shopping and hopping on board the water taxi to the souks.

The hotel staff are excellent, from the bell boys to the management, we had booked 3 rooms, and one room had a really bad smell coming out of the bathroom this is common in hot countries we spoke to reception and they immediately changed our room without hesitation and more importantly at our convenience.
I know I know but great for young kids in an emergency, kids meals, ice creams etc Just remember as it's a Muslim country their weekend is Fri and Sat so if you wana do beaches, water parks etc I would avoid these days as that's when the locals are out so gets very busy. If you have more than 4 people in your group it's difficult to hire a big taxi, even if you call up they sometimes just send two cars, so we just found a 7 seater private taxi and tool his number, we used to call him half hour before and he would take us where we wanted on the meter private taxi meters are slightly more expensive than normal taxis but we'll worth the convenience.
Overall great hotel, nice pool and very friendly staff. Hotel is good but Agoda made me suffer. Agoda did not confirm the Hotel and I was stranded for 5 hours outside at reception.
Agoda booking confirmation says guaranteed reservation but the Hotel denied the booking paper I was having. I called Agoda customer service but there was no one to answer only playing music. Eventually at 5 pm I was able to check in that too aft Eventually at 5 pm I was able to check in that too after too many request to the Hotel. This is first time I booked through Agoda and seems I will never book again through Agoda. Valley car park as you enter the lobby they take good care of your car. The room was fantastic, big eaough with lovely setup quality furniture very clean toilet. The hotel is wisely located in the center of Bur Dubai. The staffs were very courteous and accommodating. The room we first went was 2 single bed and the concierge suggested if we would like to transfer to 1 bed. The room is really spacious, well lit and luxurious. Bed is comfortable. Overall, the hotel is excellent even if we only stayed for few hours for transit. Everything was great, except the couple issues with the front desk staff. They were very polite at all the times and fast during check in and check out. They said that the hotel doesn't offer babysitting, but they advertise it on the website as well as in their booklet in the room. Other than these 2 "baby issues", we had a great time!!! Our baby and us enjoyed the pool area as well. It is not huge, but very clean and not crowded.
They have 2 baby pools, one deep pool, and jacuzzi hot tub on the roof with privacy fence and great views on the new city from the deck. Room service is very fast!!!
