We had a lovely evening with some of the other guests sharing travel stories and tips over a couple of bottles of wine around the fire. The sunrises and sunsets from the pool area are breathtaking. The location is great, very close to the town of Franschhoek and the vineyards of the area, but secluded enough to allow us to completely switch off. We loved our stay at 7 Koppies and didn't want to leave.
I highly recommend this slice of heaven. From arrival to departure, 7 Koppies offers the most wonderful experience! As we drove up the long and bumpy road to 7 Koppies we wondered where on earth we were going to. As we walked into the property and saw the view framed by the stunning architecture of this property we gasped in amazement - definitely the wow factor! Gabriel and his lovely team work hard to deliver a friendly efficient service and he was very helpful in suggesting restaurants for dinner. As we were travelling with our adult son, we were allocated the family room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable and had 3 single beds.
If when! I'd like to keep this secret for myself but had to compliment 7 Koppies for their work This place is incredible and I highly highly highly recommend it. The house is so beautiful and tastefully furnished. The view is so breathtaking you can't take your eyes off of it. Gabriel manages perfectly every details and you'll feel like home instantly. Very good breakfast cooked with local products. The whole atmosphere is intimate, quiet, peaceful.

The staff were all so kind and helpful and cooked us delicious breakfasts using fresh, local ingredients. The infinity pool was perfect after a day exploring Franschhoek. I dream of this place now I am back in the UK Breakfast is served outdoors in the summer, and every morning I had to pinch myself to confirm it was real. While that view may be the show stopper, the property is stunning in its own right.
Oppie Koppie B&B
The architecture and design of the place is a masterpiece of good taste and attention to detail. What spoiled kids you be to experience luxury like this: the most luxurious linens and bedding, wonderful local bath products, modern amenities like blazing WiFi and electrical outlets everywhere including bedside USB and thoughtful touches like a bottle of water and a glass next to each bed each night. The property is full of endless little vignettes to enjoy with a book or a glass of wine: sun loungers tucked away in an ivy covered garden nook, an expansive infinity pool with the view described above, an outdoor living room centered on a massive wood burning fireplace, a vegetable garden that looks like something out of a magazine.
It just goes on and on. With just five rooms, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy it in privacy. Yet the vibe is so warm and friendly that we got to know the other guests and staff during our visit. Finally I need to touch on the intensely personalized and detail-oriented service.
Strategically located throughout the property are pitchers of lemon and mint fresh from their garden, of course infused water, towels left strewn about will have been magically picked up and replaced the next time you turn around, every afternoon freshly baked cakes appear for you to help yourself, etc. Staff are happy to accommodate any request you may have. Breakfast is a simple yet elegant affair of delicious, local products yogurt and fresh honey made on site, preserves from nearby farms, homemade muesli, farm fresh eggs beautifully cooked and presented, South African prosciutto and salami sliced before your eyes, fresh squeezed juices from their own fruit, etc.
Wow wow wow. It is hard to describe how perfect it is; just stay here and see for yourself! It is a bit hidden, which is good, offers a stunning view of the valley below, is beautifully decorated, staff is super friendly, breakfast was simply amazing. We skipped dinner down in Franschhoek twice, because we just wanted to sit in the garden and enjoy the view.
