We know you will fall in love with our beautiful farm Hermitage Huisies instantly; as we did and still do every day. The location is perfect: Mountains on show everywhere, Nature Reserves and Woodlands down the road, a trickling Stream, Horses, Sheep, Swimming Pool with best view in the world and a farm Dam on your doorstep. Berry Farms next door, and yet only 2km from the Swellendam town centre. Our four self catering cottages are fully equipped with pocket spring mattresses, bedding, towels and more. All of them feature indoor heating, fans and private outdoor BBQ's.
All our cottages are fitted with free WIFI. Our farm is our pride and joy and we would love for you to share in our little piece of heaven and we promise to do all we can to make your stay most memorable. We welcome single travelers, couples, business travelers and families. We have a KolKol wood-fired hot tub for private cottage hire. Minimum two nights hire. R per night, two bags of wood included per day.

She informed us of all the activities in the area and left us a few awesome goodies like fruit and veg out of her organic garden as well as home made bath salts for the hot tub.
She even sent over line and hooks for my sons to catch and release some fish from the dam, and when my child didn't want to eat, she sent over a cup of already cooked pasta. I will definitely visit Hermitage Huisies again. I fell in love with Swellendam and its amazing history. The personal touch of a hand written welcome note and an eco-friendly gift of fresh produce from the vegetable garden was very special.
The roses were in full bloom and the guinea fowl were running around. The cottage was pretty and clean.

We would have moved in if we could. Host was especially nice and helpful. I could totally relax which was absolutely perfect.

Lovely little place! Comfortable, still and nice. Would love to come again. Thanks for such a great service. The mattress was really comfortable and the cottage has everything we needed for a long weekend stay. The River Cottage is nice because it's removed from the other cottages and farther back from the road, plus it has a small yard area you can braai in. Beautiful view of the mountains and close distance to the nature reserves.
