Friendly stuff and an awesome dinner. The elegantly decorated rooms and suites at this colonial style, thatched roof lodge all have air conditioning and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The rooms are located in the main building and the suites are separate and feature a private outdoor sitting area with views of Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River. All rooms feature en suite bathrooms with free-standing showers. The food was first class and way above expectations. The view from the room over the river was also way better than we expected. It was great to wake up in the morning and walk out onto the verandah and see crocodiles swimming and in the afternoon see elephants coming down to the river.
The staff were the lodges best feature. Friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for better hospitality. We thoroughly recommend organising a park guide through the hotel. We will stay at Buhala Lodge again.

Kruger National Park is just a minute drive from the lodge. Wildlife such as the giraffe and zebra can be seen at the lodge. Each air-conditioned room is elegantly furnished and includes a flat-screen satellite TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room. The private bathroom includes a shower. Marcel and his team are very passionate about wildlife, very friendly and accommodating. We only stayed for one night but will definitely be back again. Located in the province of Mpumalanga, Needles Lodge offers traditionally-styled, rooms with a patio.
