The Sonderend River and Breede River meet on the property and our 5 luxury Boutique Camping tents are located in a beautiful and quiet patch of forest close to the river. The wildlife includes lots of birds and small mammals. If you are lucky you might even get to see a ghost frog or one of the unique butterfly species.
This is the most significant stretch of indigenous Afromontane forest left in the south-western Cape, with nearly all of the 35 typical forest tree species, including red alder, ironwood, stinkwood and yellowwood.

The Spa is set on a Ha property and offers self-catering accommodation for those who wish to do-it-themselves, but also has a full-service licenced restaurant, bar and off-sales for those who want to indulge. A small kiosk supplies basic necessities, including braai-wood and ice alongside a selection of groceries. An adapter is required for the electrical hook-up if the RV does not run 50 amps.

Vehicles: Although your site may hold 3 vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle. Extra vehicles must pay use fees on arrival. All vehicles must fit on the parking pad and not hang into the road way.
There is no off road or extra parking. There are no pick-ups and drop-offs. Every vehicle entering the park must pay use fees.
Information
Length of Stay: Maximum stay is 30 nights in a calendar year. Once this consecutive night limit has been reached, the camper must vacate the campground and no one in the party may return to camp in that same park for 48 hours. Cash and Credit Card only. After the Ultra City, turn right into Worcester at the second set of traffic lights.

At the main street third set of traffic lights turn left and then right again at the next set of lights where there should be a sign to Robertson and Montagu. From here, continue along the R62 through the towns of Robertson and Ashton to Montagu.

Photo Tony Lourens. Montagu has a very low average annual rainfall, making it the ideal place for planning a rock climbing trip. If it is raining in Cape Town, then simply hop into your car and two hours later you could be climbing under blue skies. Midsummer can be quite hot, often forcing one to find shady crags. Winters are cold at night and crisp in the shade during the day, but wonderful in the sun, making for ideal climbing conditions.
In summer however, the Southeast wind often brings rain to the area. Rock climbers are spoiled for choice in Montagu regarding accommodation. From self catering to camping, this town has it all.
A popular place owned and run by rock climbers is Rainbow Glen. Here they offer very comfortable chalets in a peaceful and picturesque garden setting. David the owner is also very knowledgeable about all of the climbing areas.
