We booked in a very nice guesthouse in Ermelo. We asked the owners which restaurant they will recommend. They said we should try Butr restaurant. My wife and I pitched up at this restaurant and were welcomed by the friendly staff.
We chose a table The decoration is antique — just fabulous! The main meal was kingklip. We were truly surprised. It was really MasterChef quality. This meal was one of the best we had. I want to congratulate Louw, the chef and the rest of the team for providing a 5-star dish. My husband and I had the absolute pleasure to return to Butr Deli for a second time for lunch on Friday, 8 February The restaurant boasts an intimate ambience.

At the time of our visit the menu boasted Mediterranean flair Tapas and tasting plates, Wood fired Focaccias and hand stretched pizzas, specialty roasts and on the hot grills Beef fillet and t-bone. The menu is very interesting and innovative with a fresh and modern twist. We built our own Tapas platter which consisted of the following: Sweet and simple Balsamic glazed Parma ham roses, Thai sweet and sour pineapple baby back pork riblets, Fresh baby Norwegian salmon wasabi crust fillet and black pepper crusted springbok carpaccio.
Every dish except the salmon was served on a square of crisp focaccia. Extra focaccia was served on the side delicious. Each dish had a unique, distinct and special flavour and each bite send our taste butts into a passionate Tango. The baby back pork riblets was fall off the bone tender and the Thai sweet and sour pineapple basting simply delicious I mopped it from the wooden platter with pieces of focaccia. Our waiter, Yondela was friendly and professional.
We had a bottle of Gabrielskloof Sauvignon Blanc which is one of our favourite wines.
Our meal at Butr Deli took us on a journey too experience and discover a true taste sensation in every sense. We could taste the passion and love and care from the kitchen in every bite.
